betrayal in the royal court, collapse, reversal, fall of the ego, loss of power, infidelity
Interpretation of the card:
Astrological Sign: Leo/Aquarius ︱ Planet: Sun/Uranus
The Jester (Fool) has dethroned the king and now sits in his place. Not in the king's usual seat, as that would only create a new ego. Instead, he balances on the armrest with a grin, knowing that's where kings are often pushed away from. A fool would never dream of sitting on the throne, he leaves that to the king. He holds a mirror to the deposed king's stunned face, as if to say, "Look at yourself, what a fool you are!" On the right side of the image, a small bird rises into the air, symbolizing the hope that one day the king will transform into a great, colorful bird of freedom.
The meaning of the Fall Symbolon card
1) As a single or first card︱ The problem
WHAT IS THE SUBJECT?
You have fallen, and you are unable to understand or recover from it. You blame others for cheating and betraying you, without realizing the betrayal was carried out by a higher authority. Objectivity often uses other people to fulfill its mandate, so the fall was legitimate and necessary, even if it hurts your ego.
2) As the next card︱Way through the problem
HOW TO DEAL WITH IT?
On your path, it becomes necessary to leave behind your carefully built royal empire. The task at hand is to find the FOOL within you. This can only be achieved if you have the courage to liberate yourself voluntarily.
3) as the last card︱Result
WHERE DOES IT LEAD?
You finally realize that you are also a Fool and can fully embrace this role. Your identification with the king has diminished, and your experience with the Fool has become more prominent.
